In Module A, students need to write essays that try to compare and sieve out a universal idea linking an original text with it's companion text - It is about how texts ‘talk’ with each other. Students will need to explain why there are differences between the texts (which is usually down to the author's context and culture) as well as the themes that both texts agree on.
Having understood and explored both books' context, it is just as important that students KNOW how to organize their thoughts and structure and plan their essays. (Eg. PEEL or PEAL).
This site has 9 great tips on teaching students how to plan their essays, and one great tip is to anchor their essays with the key word and source material.
